Ten-year-old movie Battlefield Earth got a retrospective in today’s New York Post by the original screenwriter, J.D. Shapiro. My editor Jeff Rubin and I once tried to watch this movie. Not only did we turn it off after 10 minutes, but the movie left us unable to objectively judge all other movies we watched that week. Seriously. To this day I can’t tell you what I thought of Surrogates with confidence.
